Support The Family Holiday Association for National B&B Week!
For over 40 years the Family Holiday Association has been changing the lives of those truly in need by offering them a short break or day out.
The short breaks they offer enable individual families to spend a few nights away together. Even the shortest break can make a world of difference for families struggling with some of the toughest challenges life can bring – problems such as severe and long-term illness, mental health issues, bereavement and domestic violence.
A simple break away from home can improve their well-being, bring relief from their stresses at home and give the opportunity to create precious family memories to cherish forever.
Each family helped is referred to the charity by someone already working with them in a supporting role – perhaps a health visitor, social worker, teacher or other charity such as Barnado’s or Shelter. By working with referrers, the Family Holiday Association can be sure that the funds raised help the families who will benefit the most. Read some of their stories here.
Sadly, there are so many more families that need their support. By working together we can give families a reason to smile. Together, we can help families find sunshine through the rain. There are a number of ways you can help:

1
Offer a room to The FHA. All they need is a commitment to provide three or more two-night stays any time between March and October, and not just at weekends – any day of the week is fine!
2
Allow your guests to make an optional donation to The FHA when they book with you, or make a donation yourself to support the charity’s great work.
3
Organise a coffee morning, afternoon tea or cake sale, with proceeds going to the FHA. You could even invite your local MP if it is on their constituency day (usually a Friday).
